They took the swim-docks off the lakes
“A kid got hurt” they said
They won’t let their kids play contact sports
Afraid they’ll end up dead

They don’t like Harry Potter
“It’s Satanic don’t you know
Comic books and TV shows
Lead to that place below”

Their kids must wear full padding
When they go outside to play
No tree-houses, no running,
No cowboys or army games

They put their kids inside cocoons
And panic if they leave their rooms
Children sprang from spineless wombs
Forever trapped in schizoid tombs

This is interesting but there would be a riot around here if the kids did not get a Harry Potter book and some do not know bible stories but whatever it takes to get them to read. But some things did go south like the May Pole whatever happened to that.

okay Edwin I hear you, c'mon... I have a differnt view. When preschool kids have no other balance than to see bugs bunny no longer a buffoon, but demonized it changes the whole idea of cartoons. I'm not against all hollywood tv media etc, and I raised two boys and have grandchildren I know what hurts and what doesn't. there is no need to make everything mean spirited in order to make money, off toddlers and pre schoolers! At least let them get out of diapers before they entice them! Eileen

Damnit. Damnit. Damnit. I wish I'd said that.

Sunrise of Thought by Bruce Humphrey

Welcome! The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help. Beautif
