You’re painting Jesus’ picture
as we talk about our day
A partner sleeping in the guest room
Drifting off in silence
in this early hour so late

Today we lived the method
Madness became real
Everything we worked so hard to find
through sleepless nights
It’s now so real

Now we know a little more
just where we both do stand
We’re running fast on solid ground
breathing golden flames
we sifted from the sands

And everything is changing
Yet everything’s the same
‘cause I love you more than ever
And that’s one thing
that never seems to change
