He claimed to be of Merlin's blood
believing he could see
things of which he had no clue
His world a fantasy

Obsessed in his delusion
a coward in the blind
never knowing he was being watched
so deep behind the lines

He sought refuge in another role
of his multi-personality
but his words were his worst enemy
and he soon exposed himself to be
a tormented
blackened soul

He forced a smile when the rain came
retired early to his room
where in silence he believed
he held the key to fate and doom

On appearance he seemed shy
He seemed humble and quite meek
Not a warlock
just a loser
with no servants at his feet
He struggled to control himself
but his Jeckyll and his Hyde
did battle deep inside
and soon did come to meet

He locked onto his prey
through words and sight and smell
Armed with just a victim's hair
he believed he'd cast his spell

But he was just a mortal
with no power and no sight
a sick and sad existence
was his plight

Deeper he did sink
into the bowels of his imaginings
The curse of darkness overcame him
and fell upon his very being

No dragon ever slain
just his own infected brain
No damsel in distress
just frustration without rest

Tormented and cast out
he wandered through the city
leaving waste to those entrusted
A deceiver with no pity

The manhood that he cherished
had been spared once before
but mortality lurked just outside
an ancient open door

The power that had healed him
was now his enemy
for he looked upon himself as being
his own death's adversary

Some would claim there was no fault
Some would find it cruel
but they are only those
he uses as his tools

Worthy are the souls
who don't thrive in confusion
who understand the gift of life
is not born of their delusion

Be gone now
Strip away
the weakened shield of the deceiver

Be gone now
blackened soul
Rejoin the dying embers
Take this message to your grave
so that all here may remember

Be gone now jaded defect
Be gone pathetic thief
Wander through forever
to never fill you twisted needs

Be gone now sick imposter
cower in the shadows
feel the blade until your end
every time the wind blows

Be gone now lowly mortal
feel the death rise from your groin
suck deep your
putrid dying breath
and know you won't be coming back
Suma Suro Anallah Trach
(if you get some mental help
you still could die at ninety
of a painful heart attack :)

If any readers believe this crap
take off your shoes and take a nap
Awaken to reality
Only through the maker comes the power
and the rest is just a sick man's dream ;)

Quite interest and mysteriously intriguing.
Yes I would say there are some that truly believe such...I like all the detail and imagery that this poem possessed such as "Armed with just a victim's hair" you really did get deep and did not leave out anything in this write.

Wonderful,
From the Heart of an Artist Quiet Storm

An excellent piece of fantasy writing Cuddles. People like this may even exist and I have encountered some that might fit this description online.

The only way to avoid darkness is to walk in the light...

The power of personality traits and the ability to fool and enchant those naive is strong, and sadly it is the kind that usually end up suffering at the hands of these delusional maniacs. Your write captures the attention from the start and the really sad part these types would actually take this as a compliment to their black souls.

Great write.

Richard, Perhaps we've encountered the same folk, 'cause you just can't dream up characters like that!! LOL :)

Thank's for the correction...done.

You paint well a troubled soul. Whether from real life or imagination, I feel as if I have met some characters just like this in my life Edwin. This one must have been fun to write. Loved it!

Check your second to last stanza - this line.
"suck deep your
your putrid dying breath"

A very powerful write and I wish I saw more of them. "Only through the maker comes the power" This the only power I do need. I wish more people believed that evil can not hurt you only you can by believing these sick mortals. The name of the poem that came through was different then the one up top the page so I thought perhaps someone had exposed our ghostly perpetrator of evil messages. But alas he must be still elusive. This poem would discribe those who deceive so many. Great write. Lady J

Great character/spiritual sketch, Edwin, and commentary of the sicknes I see growing in our society. I don't know how many poor things I've met who want God's power when they are only God's creature. It only calls them to a downward spiral. This was a powerful piece...Jerry
