I remember how fundamentalists rose up in arms against a television series of mine back in the nineties. I offer a heartfelt thanks for the campaign 'cause without it my show probably wouldn't have been as popular. Thanks for that....

I remember playing army when I was just a kid How we'd square off against the Nazi's till they were wounded or were dead
I remember playing board games where we'd avoid the mines or cards or games of chess to exercise the mind
I remember reading comic books, and novels by the greats But imagination now is threatened by those who close the gates

It surely is, and very sadly, it always has been. And I've always truly wondered what mankind might be able to achieve if we stopped all the petty bickering, and actually put our minds together in a very creative way.

Yes I too remember all of those and more and I recall them all with a warm rememberence...then...I look at all the things our children are being deprived of and I wonder if we they are paying now for our own liberalism of the past...What no Christmas?
During my life, many changes have taken place - some good, but [sadly, I believe] most are not. The freedoms that I knew as a child are slowly, but surely being chiseled away - all in the name of 'this is for the best.'
I'm sure that I know what is best for me, even if "you" don't agree. THEY have even begun to eliminate 'In God We Trust' from coins. I could go on for days.
Apparently, as you can see, I agree - whole-heartedly.

I agree Edwin, religious causes have been the bane of humanity, which Creator never intended.Yet, we must learn to separate the wheat from the chaff, for there are truly good people who in faith want to live and let live and pray for a better world. Those who do good for all people not just certain sects. Fundamentalists of any religion,are always the prob;em, they will never learn!
