Smoke

There in the mists of dawn
Fires burning,

Smoke

 

There, in the mists of dawn

Fires burning,

Keeping the fear

Of tomorrow at bay

Cold, Melancholy –

Memories intervene

Little and fragile,

Forgotten,

A remnant in time

Allow the night

At the edge to come near,

Enfold me safely and warm, until

Another journey demands me.

..... those memories may be little and fragile, but they
are part of what made us, who we are, today and they
serve as the foundation what will happen to us, tomorrow ... !~!

Nice work on your website, too ... it should have happened
