For Wanda,who always believed in her father and the magic of the world.
A Father's Reward The faded crinkled essay on a sheet of paper gray Hangs framed above his desk to stay It's dated 1991 and it's titled "A Hard Day" A little girl's school essay Just a child feeling alone Because her parents said goodbye But then her Dad answered the phone The essay touched her teacher who wrote this touched me so It touched her father deeply as his tears unashamed did flow It said more of her love for him then any father could hope for That's why it hangs above his desk where it'll stay for evermore.
