To A Friend, You Know Who You Are
Someone knows you’re hurting
Someone who cares for you hopes you’re okay
I know you hurt, and in your hurt, you hide yourself away
I want to try and help you but you don’t hear the words I say
I try to touch you with my words that connect directly to my heart
My friend, please try to smile again, give your world a brand new start
I know your past still haunts you and sadness often holds your hand
I know you’re often lonely and feel no one can understand
I know you hide your teardrops in the dark of night
I’ve offered you shoulder, someone to hold tight
I cannot force you to be happy,
Nor cure all your pain
I can be a friend
And listen
Till the
End.
Thank you my sweet and kind friend for this wonderful poem.
Yes , I do hide within myself and I shouldn't do that when so
many care. I am DEEPLY touched by this work of art. Again,
THANK YOU for caring.

I enjoyed this poem on two levels. First you shaped it like a heart, a subtle reminder of the love you express in the tender words that fill this heart. I am sure that your friend was very touched by the words...I know I would have been.

A marvellous poetess who could succeed in her empathetic and wonderfully caring with some help to put her work in the literal world of poets. She has gone far but not nearly as far as she should have. B.M.
