Oh, yes rain does cleanse the earth, and gives a drink to the thirsty plants to make them grow, and cleans them for our eyes to see their beauty. The sound of a gentle rain is so relaxing and refreshing. Very good reading. Karen
rain truly does clean the earth; the earth always smells so much better after a good, soaking rain or storm! very nice!

Well now I agree with Sherry in that it is cleansing. However we got a lot of cleansing here lately. But rain is good cause I remember the drought in 2002.
When people complain about or blame the rain for making them sad or dreary, I feel it is time for them to look deeper into their souls and address the real reasons for their sadness. The rain is very cleansing, I agree, Felix. I love to walk in it and let it wash away all my worries and cares. A very nice poem to meet the challenge.

I've bin out of action, so don't know the conditions of this challenge - but I do know that this is an absolutely ace write and quite a unique form and perspective. So much said and so much ground covered with so few syllables and lines. Has a correspondingly "clean" feel to it, too, and I like all the space around the words.
