Tears of Grief
I cried tears of grief today it’s true
I felt them roll down my cheek
I tasted their salty aftertaste
And I found it hard to speak
I said good bye to an old friend
I hugged his grieving wife
I listened to his eulogy
That described a great man’s life
I feel I’ve lost so many
I hear their voices in my mind
I fear that my turns coming
Well they speak of me as kind
I sang along with the choir
Amazing grace how sweet thou art
I cried tears of grief today it’s true
Knowing soon I too must part.
My prayers are with you...

As we get older and our life-long acquaintences begin to pass, we tend to start looking at our own departure with a bit more seriousness. Oh yes, our time will eventually get here, and somebody will pick up a pen and attempt their version of Tears of Grief. But while we are still here, all we can do is go forward and try our best to continue living not only for ourselves, but to find ways to express the joy and happiness those that passed before us, would have wanted us to do.
Bless you Felix!
