We’ve played hide and seek and peek-a-boo
Poppy is tired out but I think you are too
Ring around the Rosie all fall down
Poppy is making funny faces like a clown
Horsie rides and reading story books
Who could resist those I love you looks
Change your diaper and I held my nose
Three times already I’ve changed your clothes
Gave you a bottle, tucked you in tight
Little blue eyes so pretty kiss me goodnight
Tomorrow you and me will get to play again
If Poppy’s poor back can stand the pain.
Your energy and youth will be renewed to you, Pops! The grandparental relationship is said by many to be the best and the happiest, and I have absolutely no doubt that you will enjoy this childhood romp to the full, and will drink of this "cup of pain" to the very dregs!! And your granddaughter will be blessed with an even greater delight and enough loving memories to last her a lifetime! Enjoy the laughter and the tears... and invest in back support and a clothes peg!! :)) LOL Kate xx
