In days of old...the rape of a young maiden by an arranged marraige was often a way of life until mankind supposedly became civilized. So why is the rape and molestation still allowed to continue...
She was barely a women laying in the darkness of his black heart
Fearing his empty footsteps echoing on the old stone floors
Knowing soon she would feel his strokes of ice
Her only relief the sanctuary through her secret doors
Spread eagled like a sacrificial lamb she waits
Her naked skin quivering with what is to be
Smokey candles flicker and shadows they cast
Silent tears scream to set her free
Door hinges screech the time has finally come
Drafts like cracking ice announce he is near
Old, yes old he is, as immortal as time itself
His breath is the possession of total fear
She no longer resists as she first believed she should
Her body now just a vessel a holder for his sperm
She is living in the hidden chambers, he is forbidden to enter
He hungers for the key but cannot infect her with his wretched germ
His fists pummel, stabbing thrusting trying to draw her out
Failing to enter and remove her from her secret sanctum keep
His shrivelled manhood hangs as a reminder of her strength
There is a gleam of steel as the old man’s plunges it chest deep
The flame of the last candle flickers cross the smile on her face
She will never again suffer his forced rapes embrace
She will go to her maker on wings of snow white angel's wings
And he clutching a dying heart revenged trifold down below the devil sings.
Dear Felix,
Often when people read dark poetry like this they may find it hard to respond because it is disturbing. This literally gave me shivers. Rape is not an act of love, it is the ultimate act of violence upon a woman. The man who rapes a woman not only uses her body, he violates her soul and takes the one thing away from her the right every human being has - the right of choice. In this poem, the victim becomes the victor by denying her rapist through choosing death. Whoah there go the goose bumps. A chilling but effective write dear friend. You have so much talent.

Intersting observation, not one single man reviewed this powerful write, yet you write beautiful sensual poetry and the responses are there... most intriguing. You have immense talent Felix, and this poem is no exception. Keep that golden quill flowing :)
warm hugs

My sincere thanks for all your wonderful reviews, the are truly appreciated. I am now catching up (says she blushing) :)
This is a strong tale that would make any woman cringe, Felix. It is, unfortunately, not a story of the past but one that is re-enacted everyday. What will it take for women to no longer be regarded as a receptical and target for releasing uncontrolled anger? You did an excellent job on this, Felix, but it leaves a smouldering knot in my stomach and tears welling in my eyes.
Take care,
Sherry
