Lover's Questions

I think these are questions that most of us wonder from time to time.

Lover’s Questions

She asked me if I’ve ever loved

other women more then her

She said think about it carefully

because she wanted me to answer true

Does an old flame sometimes cross your mind

in the middle of the day

Does your heart twinge just a little

to think of the ones that got away

Have you ever dreamed about her

when you were lying next to me

Do you think you would look her up

if you ever were set free

She took my hand in her hand

and then held it to her cheek

Please I need to know the answer

I’ll be quiet as you speak

I thought about it for a minute

I wondered what had brought this doubt

I knew I couldn’t hurt my women

she had taught me what love was all about

I took her face in my hands then

And kissed her one more time

I chose my answers carefully

I had to make her know that she was mine

Yes I sometimes think of old flames

But when I compare them to you

I know I picked the right one

Our love that will stay forever true

Yes sometimes, other pretty girls

for a second may catch my eye

My heart though knows where it belongs

so please, please don’t start to cry

We held each other for a long time

In the dim light of the hospital room

Her head lying cross my night shirt breast

with the heart monitors ticking doom

I think that we all wonder "what if" from time to time, especially when the chips are down. In those times, any life often looks better than our own. The fact of the matter is that we are blessed because no matter how difficult things seem, we have a partner to share the burden with us...could/would any of the others have been so true and committed? I hope you are feeling better soon, Felix.
Take care,
Sherry

Sometime we just need reassurance. Hearing the words I Love You, or you are the one that holds my heart can not be spoken to many times. Very good. Karen

i am serious...........to music!!!

And as for myself, the only times I think of people from my past is when I watch TV. Because I had a boyfriend that looked like Patrick Swayze, and one that looked like Elijah Wood! lol

A hobbit and a cross dresser!

I love the movies! lol

I can think of only one flame that still burns in my heart, cause now she is gone to tell jokes and play cards in Heaven. A "marriage" of convenience so she could help in my journey, but passed away all too soon from this life. I agree with Kate, cause this shows inner strength of true love, and bravery to face anything while with each other. A very nice, deep, and poignant write Felix. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sis, Barbie

This truly gets to the heart and emotions of the matter, Felix. This write pulsates and captivates as it speaks, I am sure, to the hopes and fears of each and every one of us. What bravery is exhibited here - on both parts!! But what a testament to true love, when there is THIS degree of security in vulnerability and this amount of emotional honesty that is openly and respectfully shared, without fear of repercussion or rejection. A tender moment that many of us will never know, one way or another. You paint a tragic picture that is sweetened by the courage that is also exhibited within it - and the deep, deep sharing of a sincere love and genuine affection. TY and bless you, Kate xx
