This poem came out of a conversation I had with the oh so lovely and talented Chanti who's line is also the title, thank you Chanti...

If My Thoughts I Could Only Photograph

In my mind I take a picture of the tender love I had for you

It is full of precious snaps of how I feel and trimmed in blue

There is a faded photo of the time I first asked you to dance

Another mind picture of the sweet way at me you did glance

There is a black and white of you in a see through bedroom gown

I love that one; I will always keep it though you wore a frown

A heart shaped frame of the last bitter sweet kiss we got to share

I thought you loved me then and would always want me near

A happy wedding photo of what I wondered what we might have had

I do not look at that too often because it makes me so damn sad

Then there is the photo of my broken heart when you said goodbye

And the last photo thought is the one of me as I sit alone and cry

If my thoughts for you I could only find a way to photograph some day

You would see how such a love as mine  you just up and threw away

Felix, I love the idea of photographing one's thoughts. What creative vision you have!

This piece seeps in sorrow and regret and touched me deeply.

Very good. If we could only save our memories with photo's they would be there for all to see. You being a writer is a way to ilustrate your your thoughts. And yes, our thoughts do fade, but then another takes it's place. Karen
