I am most alive in the sun and closest to death in dark of night...

Though dark of night may rob my heart

of all that I hold dear

Tis morning sun and I awake and

see clear all the things I fear

Was just the shadows of the dark

that clouded my mind and soul

Now warm arms of sun enfold me and

re-affirm my mortal goal

I play a part on this living stage that

the master directs on high

Deeds and acts both good and bad

emerge the truth instead of lie

While angels chorus to the babes and

saints there message cast

In the wings the wind still sings

in praise of memories to last

Now I see what is meant for me and

regret my selfish ways

So many blessings in this last act to

make me grasp my final days

When the curtain falls to mans catcalls

I will take my bow alone

Then if God doth choose I will walk with him onto his glorious home...

A very good poem. We all need to live each day as if it is our last and appreciate what God has given us. And when the time comes God will be there waiting for us with open arms. Again very good. Karen

Felix, such an uplifting write. A great reflection of the two sides that can be life. I think there's nothing better than waking up to the warmth of the sun and the hope that it seems to inject...best wishes Andrea

I thought this was wonderful
If I asked a psyke to write my feelings and thoughts, this is what he would have written.
You couldnät have read them better.
Really lovely, and a great sense of "calm" over the SELF - insight of being mature.
SOMEONE SAID,BY THE TIME WE GET WISE,IT'S TOO LATE TO PUT IT TO USE,BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THAT! We can contribute till our dying breath and I enjoyed this contribution.
Please give us more!

... There we go! That's better and now we are ALL smiling! United we stand, together we fall, remember... divided just doesn't come into it in this merry Band of Brothers (and Sisters! :)) to which you belong and of which you are a leading man and member centre stage, Felix! Truly, I am sorry for the pain which night-time can bring, but, just think, when you are "in the dark" some of us will be in the light and can send its "happy rays" your way! Now, in order to synchronise our watches, give me a quick time check so that I can bear these things in mind... it's 2024 here (yes, useful Kate as I don't exactly know at what time you commented, but guess I can work it out! F xx!!) All for one and one for all... are you sure it's a good idea to have Miss Katastophe as part of your travelling band?! :)) Too bad, it worked for Crosby and Hope, Lemmon and Curtis, Laurel and Hardy, didn't it? Beauty and the Beast, too... anything to make you smile, Pops - you know that, don't you?! :)) Kindergarten Kate xx ... and "catcalls"?! "wolf whistles" you mean, don't you?! x
