...

the words slip from his mind

floating to the lines of empty space

the poet unravels his story

like a painter strokes his canvas

each word another colour from

ever changing writer’s palette of words

the poet knows not where it will end

nor the varied paths that it may take

until the last word leaves his mind

he smiles in abstract satisfaction

reads  what his hand and mind gave birth

smiles as the ink like an artist paints

dries to the work that he creates

excellent insight to the poetic art, Felix ... i personally don't look at my poems until weeks after i write them ... this way, i can get an objective viewpoint and see if they were successful or not ... sometimes out palettes are so full of color and emotion we need to let them "dries to the work" for a while, to see if they are truly effective ...

A beautiful tribute to the creative spirit in all of its manifold forms - all embraced within the written craft. How write/right? you are to suggest that what actually ends up on the page may be quite different to what we "thought" we might be writing at the outset... perhaps in that way we paint more as abstract artists than in narrative pictures or real-life "stills" sometimes. Fascinating, thank you - and for all your huggy support on my last writes: I'm fine and just embracing a muse of hypothesis at the moment! BIG SMILE!! LOL Kate xx

Dear Felix,
I've missed your work friend. I've been offline for the past couple of weeks and need to do some catch up on here. This is a masterful piece of work and I am truly in awe. You captured my attention and held it to the last incredible line.
Write on...

Felix,
Your palette is always a delight to visit too! One stroke from your pen leaves those looking on for another and another...
I love the color scheme you've chosen here..a canvas filled with splashes of Felix!

This is awesome, Felix. It is interesting how the words come to us and we have no clue what we are writing until it is done. Sometimes, even after I have finished writing a poem, I don't understand it. Sometimes, it can take several days or even much longer before I can relate to what I have written.
Take care,
Sherry
