Night Fears
I talked to a head doc the other day
He asked me why I could not sleep
Seemed to want some unigue answer
Something from my subconscious deep
I thought a bit before I replied
Did not want him to think I lied
Hung my head and turned away
And this is what I had to say
It was in the night the police came
To tell me things were not the same
My baby brother killed on his bike
My world that night was turned insane
Another night just three months later
I left my Mothers bedside to go home
In the midnight hour the call came through
I had lost my Mom I was told by phone
Less then a year later in the deep of night
I sat night-vigil at my Dads dying bed
I gave the word to pull the plug
I knew his mind now too was dead
It took a while to come to grips
I thought I put to sleep my night time fear
Then at another brothers bedside I was called
A night-vigil with his wife I'd share
The doc looked at me and made a note
I will see you next week if you want
But I think though you do not need it
You already handle well the ghosts who haunt.
I'm sorry for your losses. :( May you find rest and peace soon.
(((((HUGS))))) and love, Karla. :(
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :( >tears <
I can certainly relate to this. From August of 2000 to January of 2002, I lost 5 very close relatives. Both my In-Laws, My Mother, a Brother-in-Law and a Niece...
The management at the funeral home knew us on a first name basis. When that happens..you know you've been there way too damn often.
How did I get through it? I talk to them, yes, talk to them as though they were sitting across from me. Pretty soon they quit visiting, unless I need them. They are still with you, and pretending they aren't, only prolongs your pain. Tell them goodnight, and rest.

Keep the faith my friend!!
