Poker Night

Even when a guy (or gal) has a bad heart and diabetes they have to have a few vices now and then...

Poker Night

The Canadian whiskey soured my guts

The beer chasers didn’t help

The cigarette smoke left me half blind

To that there are no ifs or buts

The cards I got were sucker hands

Don’t know how I lost my shirt

I only know this morning

My bank account is gonna hurt

I ate two pounds of pepperoni

At least three bags of chips

That’s a whole lot of cholesterol

If you cipher in the dips

My blue eyes are red and blurry

I only got to slept about an hour

To make things worst, if that can be

I had cold water in my shower

So the next time I’m invited

I’ll know deep down it isn’t right

But count me in and ante up

‘Cause I just love my “poker night”!

Felix,

I'll fold. :) *I'm lousy at cards.*

But you penned a full house (is that poker??). A winning hand, fer sure. :)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Reminds me of the time I ate three cans of Pringles potato chips in one sitting...they tasted better going down than coming up...JAYS was I sick...for YEARS I couldn't stand the smell of them! It's just recently I've begun to eat them...a couple chips at a time now. :)
