This is pure fantasy not about me...

In your silence I can hear so much

Disappointment, anger fear and such

I look away so I will not see the hurt

I cling to pain like its a crutch

The room a funeral hall of quiet

We sit there feasting on sorrows diet

Too old to change too young to die

Lost and confused in loves own riot

Rings have lost their shine and glitter

The pictures fade and the roses wither

My heart for freedom begs the wind

The wind just blows a lot more bitter

The barrels cold, the triggers tight

Now I sit alone in dark of night

So bittersweet will be the end

No more to sorrow come daylight

Today is Stanley Kunitz's 100th birthday (see my blog), Pulitzer Prize winning poet who writes how he must keep changing, even now, at the threshold of his second century. We are never too old to change, too far gone to embrace new hope.

I enjoyed this, Felix.

Superbly expressed boppa, old son, I'm so glad this is pure fantasy, the really sad thing about this is that it is probably someones reality.

nice one my friend.

Felix,

This one is so, so sad--the reader is immersed in every painful word. Very well done, and I hope you're okay....

Aweeeeee Felix.. YOu wrote this Tragedy so well~! SAD and raw to the bone painful to see and read, because many -Give Up- and sometimes, the answer could have been found. Sometimes the following week, but they will never know. Theirs a lesson to be learned in all we do and say, but these thoughts of ending 1's life, I cannot condone in anyway! I pray for their spirit - lost soul as that person was- I pray that peace will find and stay within- cuz, spirits live on and on, and on. Some do not beleive that, and that's ok with me- but, I feel it too Important to say goodbye to all of lifes histories and mysteries~! This is written out so well -F- Ease your heart ! my friend, you got it out- time to mend!!!! ~Plant a seed and watch it Growww~ and it will too... Have a Great night Felix..OH, and Thank you 4 the kind and EXcitable reviews lately!!! My heart thanks you too... WARm HuGs2U-Lady,Sheee

Felix,
That's the best part about writing through imagination, one second we can be flying high without limitations, and the next we can be grounded forever.
There is no stopping us!
Wonderfully penned Felix.

Sadly, I guess that some feel that suicide is the only way out of a relationship that can be ended no other way. But it can never be the answer - certainly not for those who remain. It really heartbreaks me to think that communication between two people who were once so close could be THIS bad and THIS unresolveable. This, although fantasy, is not the fiction for some, and my heart weeps along with your own compassion for those who daily live this hellish scenario. May they find strength and grace to cope - AND to find an alternative resolution. Bless you, Pops. Your wellspring of empathy and sympathy never dries up but ever flows to embrace and articulate the pain of others. TY for this. LOL Kate xx

Dear Felix,

Fantasy is born from within our minds !! I am glad you said it is NOT about you, yet the poem is so real, and I agree with Marilyn, that so many lives are just like this, and too many too end this way. You write so well, about the realities of life. A most poignant write Felix.

warm hugs
