Heart Whispers

Heart Whispers

When the morning light

shines through the lace

Feels like a lovers caress

upon my face

When I hear the sounds

of a new days start

It makes me worry and wonder

will anyone ever find my heart

When I rise from my haven

to face another day

 

I know from the whispers I will be all right

But will someone please tell my heart tonight

This is one of a kind and knowing it is an oriianal and the first time you have written in public I am truly impressed. As I told you before you decided to write this poem (sorry for putting you on the spot to do it but I knew you wanted to try poetry and writing csnnot be taught it has to come from a spark in the heart.

What a wonderful introduction by a true poetic knight! You showcase the Lady well and this debut poem is melting. Very well done, Shelly and your last two lines are a final couplet to die for! So cleverly engineered that the weight of the poem falls emphatically on the last line, and that the whole poem sets up the "surprise" brilliantly! Controlled and crystal-clear writing indeed!
