Veil of Tears

looking through my veil of tears

age catching up… too many years

love is for the young at heart

no one hears these old mans tears

wondering when the passion died

wondering when the romance sighed

did I somehow miss its parting words

was that the time alone I sat and cried

my candles burning low and slow

from this earth I will soon must go

let go the lines that strangle me

when I am gone its then you will know

sleep now my love the night is almost past

this dream of ours just could not last

too may twist and turns in love

when Cupids arrows first are cast

as a poem, very succesful at capturing emotions by interjecting your personal experience with imagery and sentiment and bringing to life the movement of your feelings ... it seems to me, your poetic candle is burning pretty bright ...

Felix, This is a sad realization , but maybe your youth will spark up again in your heart and your spirit will soar like never before.
That's what i am hoping because you create such real beauties , even when they are sad. Excellent work my friend.
Peace',

You are such a true Romantic, Felix... you take us to the heights and depths with all the heart-wrangling reality that makes us feel every knife-twisting turn, each spiral stairway up and down. AND everything seems so deeply personal and authentic. You are truly lyric and have a natural openness and ability to lay yourself open than many men shun. I do hope that this is not actual in the sense of it being a true reflection of where you're at... like with most of us, it's a mixture of true experience and a strong ability to sympathise/empathise as well, I expect. You have such a prodigious capacity for love, Felix. There's a whole world that could do with hearts such as yours, and your kind of giving love is a beautiful and scarce-found resource. I am sure those who love you cherish every ounce that you freely bestow upon them. May your cup always so overflow - and may it also be returned to you in full. Keep shining your light, Pops, and steer us all home, into the safe harbour that we so need and want. I am sure your Dreamboat will arrive! :)) LOL Kate xx
