I have no doubt that the eagle will fly again. We as a nation rise to help the ones that are in need during a disaster such as the southern states have had this year and New York on 9/11. It just strenghtens our people and brings us together as a whole. Thanks for the beautiful words and your concern for the United States of America. Karen
You empathise and articulate so acutely here, Felix. You express the almost inexpressible of the voyeuristic feeling that the rest of us have, in witnessing the drama and trauma of an almost Hollywood futuristic scenario being lived out in real time and in real lives. You have found a wonderful metaphor for this feeling and we can all join with you in wishing to splint the great wingspan, and see the indomitable bird take flight again. It is never right that an eagle should be grounded! Bless you for everything - you are the spirit of empathy, sympathy and compassion personified. Being a poet suits you well. LOL Kate xx Thanks for "being there" for me today, too ;) xx
Ty, Felix. I love my neighbors over the border. Full of the same grit, proud heritage and love of life (and warm hearts). That song will be a welcome one to hear...Lin x
We will get up and dust ourselves off and go on. Americans have always been scrappers and we have always had grit. We each come from emigrant stock and survival has always been in our blood. Our ancestors came here with nothing and made a life for themselves and their families. We inherit their strength and courage. Thank you for this empathetic piece, we appreciate your thoughts and your prayers.
Take care,
Sherry
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
