We may be bound by law and morality but it cannot stop the heart from feeling what it feels...

Passions of Erotic Ghosts

it’s night my mind is free to drift

across the endless thoughts of love away

the hearts and passions of our erotic ghosts

grabbed when we have some fleeting time to play

for I can’t offer you that something

that is no longer mine to give

no heart, no pledge, no promise made

for the life we’d like to live

no “I love you”, sealed with a kiss

no sweet love-making on the sand

only our souls will kiss in ageless time

I know ‘tis hard to understand

finger tips can touch bare skin

but our thoughts will memories share

of what may have been or someday could

yet it’s of this I do not think or dare

sweet stories dreamt in solitude of night

when the air fills with Cupid’s lover’s glance

come morning light we face the dawn

and hearts pain once more will devilishly dance

You and Dawn are DEFINITELY dancing on the same page here, Pops.. but, hey! I ain't gossiping for certain sure!!!!!! :))))) You speak of the "deep calling to deep" of our innermosts parts, thoughts, desires and deep-seated natures, Felix, and that which, like volcanic lava, cannot forever be denied or suppressed without bubbling up in some shape or form. And, so it should be, because the truth is the truth, init? We have to make resolution with it somehow. In the less than two years that I have been writing, I have known it was ultimately about not only following my heart's desire to do so, but about getting to know the who and what I really am - searching the deepest parts of me with integrity and reality. Neither easy or without its hazards, but is the pathway to totality of personhood, inner peace and understanding. Blimey, I'm beginning to sound like a bit of a guru... but this is a thoughtful and honest write, Pops - which is the usual hallmark of your genuine and courageous heart. I am so grateful, too, for your comments on my last night's post... you are absolutely right because at college I was always thought to be too much of a complex-crammer - not in idea, but in content. Spot on! Bless you and thank you, LOL Kate xxxOOOOOxxxx

What a bittersweet and most human of frailties; to dream the impossible and cradle it in our hearts. I really liked this poem.
