Blue moon arising...

Depression’s End

Weight lays heavy on my shoulders

A tired sadness in my heart

I want to be that brave strong person

I just don’t know how to start

Another night of waiting all alone

As the winds howl a mournful dirge

The raindrops pound a death march

The emptiness just won’t purge

Another chest pain briefly flares

A brief reminder I just can’t win

It just don’t seem to matter much

I pay for some unknown sin

We are all mortal but you have the blessed gift of feeling the pain of mortality and of increased gratitute for every breath you take. You have that capacity for love of living, Felix - I know you do.
Blessings

So true...I know what it feels like to carry that weight. It is heavy indeed.

Stark and real emotions expressed, Felix. I (and many others I am sure) can relate to this universal affliction. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Love, peace, strength and healing to you.

Stress kills so silently. This poem shares those sentiments. This is why knowing WHOM to turn to is so important in our lives, in all areas of our lives. Good font usage to display the mood of this work.

blessin's, and relaxation, and prayers Bro. Felix,

Darling Pops... just wish I could blow my tiny little white feather of peace and healing right over the oceans and into your breathless closet... don't think about negative and energy-draining things that you haven't a clue about... think about all the GREAT things in life that are keeping you alive, well and thriving in a spiritual/emotional place, all those things wrapped in pink fluff and bunny slippers that release those endorphins to wage war on the toxins and let the weight roooooooolllllll right away. May the Angel of the Lord encamp around you and breathe confidence and security right into your mind and heart (if you don't mind me praying that?! :)) When you feel too beleaguered to row, let your little boat float on the gentle waves of all our uplifted thoughts and holding hands to glide you along. You are never, NEVER alone, dear Felix... if you can think of nothing else, remember THAT. Don't think "punishment"; think "grace"! OK, preach-out over, but we are WITH you in this and, as I am so aware and grateful of, prayer/meditation/positive visualisation is a very, VERY powerful thing. And your poetry is so strong as it always is - because you write straight from the heart - so it's got to rally, for certain sure! Even if it is poetry-powered! :)) Bless you and love you, Kate xx

Touche Felix. I have to assume that you've been there....if not, you've got a great outsiders grasp. Excellent work.

Felix, my heart aches for anyone who endures the dark days of depression. I truly understand, though I am not living through it NOW. it's easy to think we've done something to cause the pain or sadness and must atone for imagined wrongs. look for the tiny flutter of grace in unexpected places and breathe.
