She studied hard and listened well
year after year flew by
She sacrifice her love and time
the tears she had to cry
Late nights over coffee
Shakespere and Hamlet on the side
then finally the time arrived
A certificate filled her heart with pride
She proved that she was a scholar
a writer and a poet literate true
Not just another want to be
she worked so hard for me and you
Then the those who claim superity
in intelligence in the hiearchy of word
Decided in their decadence
to cut her soul so with their written sword
So gather round her fellow writers
support one of our very own
Let her know that she's respected
loved and not out their all alone
We are the writers and the readers
the reviewers who honest speak
Let her know that we are proud of her
for being so strong and they so weak!
A proud tribute to a good friend!
Monette, sometimes those in the "ivory tower" forget how hard some of us struggle to make it to the end of our academic road. How sad that this seems to be just such a case. Hold fast to your hard work and just remember that in your heart you KNOW that what you did was meritorious and deserving of recognition. :)
Peace,
~Rose~

Maximum respect to Monette, I hope things come good.

For those who wonder what this is about, my committee decided after awarding me my master's to hack up my thesis, something they had all semester to do, but didn't. I felt what I'd come up with was worth the two years of hard work, but now they're trying to take it away from me. I sincerely hope, before my time here is up, I have good news to share.
The world doesn't need a battle ground or hand gernades to tear apart another fellow being it is all around us by our own words.
