As my new career unfolds I had too much time to kill today waiting for my fares...hope when any of us hits the big time we will remember the struggling little guys and gals out there...
He sits there in black waiting for the fat cats
or the ladies who made it big time
He speaks only when asks, he empties their trash
and thanks them for a tip thats a crime
He's a father, a husband or a mother perhaps
trying to make ends meet in the middle
They look down their noses strike handsome poses
and don't heve a clue of life's riddle
He holds open the door they try to ignore
that he's at least as old as their Dad
He fetches their bags though tired he sags
the weight of the world seems so sad
Black stretch in the night, makes all seem so right
There is no shame in making an honorable living, as far as making the "big time," having the respect and trust of my children, after so many years of neglect means more to me then any amount of fame or fortune...
No matter our station in life, we need to treat our fellow human beings as brothers and sisters. Thank you for the beautiful reminder. :) Not all of us can be rich...but at least we're earning our money honestly! Well done!
