Deep thoughts lol...

Just An Old Hack

My thoughts drift through the smoke of years

That seems to lately hang o'er my mind

Wisps of memories both good and bad

Ther's even more then one I cannot find

Like the long hair that I once treasured

That now only grow out of my ears

Things have a way of dissappearing

It seems all except those troubling fears

Here typing brilliant thoughts at my keyboard

At least that's what I tell myself each day

Truth be told they're just rambling thoughts

Mix and matched in a muti-mattered way

I am not complaining I'm better off then most

with these words and some of my brain intact

I have loyal friends that read the things I write

So I don't feel like just one more writer's hack.

I just wish I could ramble as well as you do!
Yes you do have friends that live to read your writes...and will continue to do so.

as poets not everything we write is good but if our successful writes outweigh our mediocre ones then we shouldn't feel inadequate but fulfilled ... i think you should feel fulfilled ...

Neverrrrr
Growing older sometimes means we become more reflective (speak for yourself Chanti! lol). I don't think you have any trouble expressing yourself - never have!
Take care

Felix, we read your work not only because we are your AD friends, but because it's good writing!!!!! End of story! If it sucked, I doubt we'd read it as much! It's wonderful writing and a pleasure to read. Michelle

Dearest Felix
Your writings and reviews are wonderful ... so thoughtful, engaged, and encouraging! If you're just an old hack (and I Love Horses!!), then don't change too much ... your foundation for feelings and life is felt by those touched by you!!
Love & Friendship Suzie xoxo :-)

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
