The Perry Boys
We brothers all were different
Unique in our own ways
Moe was the father’s image
Felix his mother’s son
John the lone gun smoking
Bill the slow talking red
And James the wild young one
Brought up under old school
Where chivalry was the rule
A man gave up a seat to a lady
Stood tall like a stubborn mule
We learned his lessons early
The family always stands as one
Dad taught us to stick together
Till each battle was won
Now years have passed
Jim and Bill moved on to God alone
John’s lives out West in Alberta
Moe, like me, stayed close to home
Someday though, again we’ll stand together
As we did when life was sweet
The Perry brothers once more united
Before our maker we will once more meet.
