Dear brothers and sisters of the den, as some of you know I have been kind of sick and I am just now waiting for wife to come home to take me to hospital. Please excuse the morbidity of this write it was just there at the time...

Are you reaching for me brother

From across that great beyond

I feel the grave closing in around me

Is it cold below the ground

Brother help me reach the other side

I grow so tired of day to day

My bodies weak and my soul seems lost

Well St Peter look the other way

In the night I hear your laughter

Yet I never hear the joke

Just when I almost see you brother

It all goes up in smoke

Past smiles are paid in teardrops

As I see my time draw near

Please brother, please I beg you

Meet me and lead me over there.

It is not your time yet to slip behind that veil, Felix. You still have a lot more Poppying to do to those cute girls before you leave here. You have more memories to create that will last their lifetimes, so let the healing begin and take as good of care of yourself as you can. Eat only good foods and drink lots of liquids...blah...blah...blah..I am always mother-nurse at these times, forgive me, please and get well soon.

Felix,
I talk to those 'over there' quite often, but it doesn't mean I'm hurrying my trip!
I'm praying for your quick recovery, and you'll be back here with us upon my return.
The medical world works wonders..let them do their magic!

Rest and come back soon!

This poem is a bridge of love spanning one world to the next. You are heard and not at all alone. At the proper time, whether much later than you might think or before, you will stand upon it with an easy liberating joy, just as this reader stands upon these lines and salutes your shining soul.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
