wind in the wires, shrouds of the dead

when the wind in the wires of the shrouds of the dead

turn each second of time to the things left unsaid

when the bow bites the water and the stern kisses the sky

prayers to God and to Neptune as you prepare alone to die

man is just flesh and bone and to dust he’ll return one day

when the seas release their demons there’ll be hell to pay

the loved ones who wait never know the last thought

in the Mariner’s Chapel they cry all alone for their lot

they cry alone for their lot.

WOW!!! I think this is one of your very best, Dear Felix, and sooo from your deep sea Mariner's heart. VERY POWERFUL!! Fantastic in both concept and image and you've thrown up some wonderful sunken treasure from the depths of your soul. Love it - and the haunting refrain at the end is a lovely touch. Bless you and thank you. Kate xx

Felix,

One feels the power of the sea in your lyrics; chilling imagery, very well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
