Such Lost Thoughts
We will never share the midnight warmth of two bodies spooned as one
Nor feel your head upon my shoulder as we watch the fire of morning sun
No we’ll not stroll the boulevards of Paris, London or New York
I will not tell you of my day or listen to your gripes about your work
We can never share a New Year’s kiss when the ball drops at midnight
We won’t waltz to “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” with just us two in sight
No united babies genes from you and I will create that perfect girl or boy
I wish that life were simpler and we might have shared all this simple joy
In parallel planes, in another life, in the world where time corrects its sin
Our love like the hearts of kindred spirits will somehow allow what may have been...

I was going to write something really funny......to bust your chops and make you laugh........
but the angel on my shoulder got the better of me........
and I reisted :)

Seriously, the longing expressed here has unfortunately become too universal thanks to today's technology.......who have thought, huh
but emotions are worthy or respect......and you have touched me, with this yearning write.........
well done
