I took a walk along a quiet street
On a quiet Sunday morning late in spring
I walked by that castle of glass and stone
Saw all the fancy cars parked outside
You know though I never felt alone
Inside I thought I heard a choir sing
Paused for a minute there outside
I wondered how many hypocrites
Held their heads up high with pride
I once believed with total blind faith
That the church could do no wrong
Until first hand I had a real life vision
Knew that place was not where I belong
Instead I chose to chat with Jesus in my own style
With my faith stored within my imperfect private soul
I left the church but not the sight of my God
Now I try to walk with him and share his only goal
I discovered faith was a whole lot more
Then words written in a leather book of rules
Found that out from my friend, God’s son, Jesus
Learned I need not suffer untrue pious fools.
I agree with this "Just because you walk into a garage it does not mean that you are a car." Too many so called Christians go to church and are not really Christians. Still, there are a chosen few that are givers to the poor and needy. We need to humble ourselves, help our brothers and sisters and not be so greedy.
Amen
You've made this fully understandable. Thank you,

"...total blind faith... " is the way of old days!
Thank God we're finally questioning, examining and addressing our individual soul experience... -- The realization from which brings unity to our essential oneness as humans! Love is the result!
Love it!

“(…) you know, sometimes there will be a man, a very righteous, very virtuous, very austere man, a Cato who has never abided by anything but his duty and the law… And yet, nobody likes him, nobody reaches out for him. Why? Because he has never given, never forgiven, never cherished, and never assisted. Then, right beside him, there will be another man – flippant, careless, with flaws, with guilt, a man who may even have forgotten his duty or may even have broken the law… but then, he is loving, generous, devoted, supportive, always has a kind word, a gentle touch; and thus, everybody loves him, and I wonder, may God forgive me, if God himself does not prefer him too…” – José Maria Eça de Queirós, in his novel “The Illustrious House of Ramires”
You are loving, generous, devoted, supportive, always have a kind word, a gentle touch. You are a good man… and I know that God – the Essence that feels the Essence beyond the apparent Substance- knows that. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{many hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
