Valhalla’s Ride
When like a Viking I ride on a wish with pride
the sky turns from dirty grey to sunny day
will you meet me neath the hallowed moon
will you open your arms, turn on your charms
ask me to whisper sweet words before too soon
Then when the sun goes down on your side of town
and as the bats come out to play once more
while the critters roam and the surf turns to foam
well you recognize the only cure
is to ride with me, hide with me, travel through the zone
hold on to love tight. throughout the long night
run the razors edge, hang from the ledge
till love’s true guardians all refuse to fight
It’s there will we hide, where love shall strong abide
summer turns to fall I’ll sing, till fall turns itself to spring
when smiles to tears, cares to fears, wind calls to me to roam
I kiss your lips, pull close your hungry hips
whisper Valhalla’s prayer to the other side
then as the sun closes it’s eyes, aching, parting sighs
on to the east we’ll once more ride
