dream maker time

if I had walked a different path

so many, many years ago

today I’d hold you in my arms

let our true feelings show

so many wasted years of youth

pride came to easily to court

I learned my lessons slowly

time just ran out too short

married for what was expected

married for desired lust

married out of loneliness

my heart I just couldn’t trust

now the years have gone by

no more will I deny

that I feel love so rare

yet I have no way to share

just words on a screen

words soft and warm spoke

no promises offered

so there’ll be no promises broke

kiss me in your dreams

imagine arms to surround

fantasizing is fine

pretend I’m yours and you’re mine

sweet, sweet dreams

Romantically painful, yet sweet in it's memories. Love has a lasting affect.

It is as if all of life were misery, until we learned it was safe to vocalize our dreams. I just wonder how people survived before the Internet? As Jude said, I think a lot can relate to this poem. ~ Sara

Dear Fee,

Love is living . We share love with all we meet in different layers but the one we let into the blind side of our heart is the one we yearn for without closure.I guess we are alike in that we;ve loved a lot but not the love of the spirit. That love is defined in the pains we never seem to relieve. If fate, ideally, gave us true love then we would find paradise here on earth when we say we must die to be rewarded in heaven.
I understand all too well this verse Fee and you are not alone.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
