Sorrows of love
He clicks off the icon on the little white screen
Won’t let her see teardrops when smiles all she’s seen
He tells her don’t worry everything will be okay
Good night and sweet dreams and have a great day
Trys hiding his feelings but it just doesn’t ring true
She knows him too well but what else can he do
He shuts down his systems his mind and his heart
Pulls the plug on his feelings at least it’s a start
In the dark of forever he walks alone up the stairs
Sweet memories linger smothered in lost lover’s fears
Hearts adjourned by a jury the sentence was passed
A second, a moment a lifetime of dreams crashed.

Powerful poem on a subject affecting many at this moment. You display your depth of compassion and life observation through "Sorrows of Love", and again I thank you for your heart extension.
