Have you ever looked up into the eyes of a stranger and felt God I love this person, not lust or desire but for some unknown reason there is just a sense of intense love, some call it love at first sight but it is one of life's most passionate moments when it happens...

I know you

No, you don’t know me

I know the sound of your voice

No, we have never met

I know the feel of your skin against mine

No we were not in school together

I know your smell like flowers after a summer rain

No we didn’t go to the same church

I know if I held you in my arms you would love me

No we never worked together or played sports together

I know when our lips meet the angels will play our song

No you have never seen me but I have seen you in my dreams

We have never met or talked or touched

We have never loved or held each other

We never kissed or made love beneath the stars

I have been waiting for your heart

in love’s purgatory till this moment…

Perfect eruption of love that one feels for one's soulmate..the love is so powerful that it amazes one thus propelling the heart almost out of one's chest. Glorious ain't it Felix?

( you are one of the fortunate ones to have felt and known this joy..YAY!)

PS you're sister will recover I'm sure..blessings to you all..

sometimes we can feel that we have never met our true love except within our hearts yet we know somewhere in the grand scheme of things our true love awaits and perhaps feels the same as we do ...

excellent pen on a universal theme ...

I know this feeling well, Felix. I think everyone does. :-) I've been dating my beau now for six months and on our first date, I just looked into his eyes and KNEW. It was scary to ADMIT it to myself, but I knew nonetheless! Great poem, :-) April

As Peter said a true romantic are you. Yes I had that feeling when I first met my wife when she was 13 years old and I thought she was 16. I was 16 at the time, I married her 7 years later with the war in between.
Good one Felix. That love lasted 49 wonderful years until the good Lord called her home.
