Have you ever spent a restless night so close to the object of your desire but so far away...

Poem Artwork

In the room down the hall

he sensed her there in bed

was she thinking of him

as he thought of her

in the room down the hall

the single bed by the window

were her fingers caressing

warm sensitive tingles

shocking and gasping

in the warm summer air

like his own with thoughts of

her in the room down the hall

the single bed by the window

covers thrown back

sighs like  breezes in the night

did she wonder about him

tap, tap, tap almost unhearble

from the girl desired and desiring

from the room down the hall

the single bed by the window

covers thrown back

virgin silhouette…cotton gauze

in the doorway

of  the room down the hall

where he waited

in the single bed

beneath the window

covers thrown back

now two in a single bed…

Reckon there won't be many who can't relate to this one, Pops... either nostalgically, currently... or, sadly, both!! :)) Delicate and tempting, carrying the imagination delightfully off down several corridors at once... Perhaps we are all suited to a life in five-star hotels, where the singles are ALWAYS king-size! Gotta luv this, bless you and thank you. Kampbed Kate xx

Wow! Feelix...this one appeals to all the senses and once the twist comes...at the end...sensuality grips my imagination and builds even the more. From the yaerning to the climax...you wrap this up quite nicely.
