No Perfect Love

There is no perfect love

Only heart just  meeting heart

Loneliness and a chemical charge

Kisses sweet and tart

Compromise and harmonize

Trade off tit for tat reality

Open doors to discontent

Do not be quick offer pity

Until love tasted bitter lost

Like a pain that’s ever sore

You have no right to judge me

Question morality and more

I chose to love and lose

I choose almost love today

I chose the risks I take

At least I choose to play!

Love is the word that never grows old or boring or trite and we never get tired of hearing it-- in songs, movies, books, and in life, as in your poem.

No, no love is perfect, for the best part, love is responsible for causing more health problems, psychological, physical than we all care to think about. It reeks havoc with our nervous system, which in turn bugga's up everything else.
BUT one long hot night, with passionate kisses.....and it's like none of that pain ever existed, so that's why you chose to play, because YOU KNOW!!
Oh if we only knew this when we were young.

Love Ch'erie

BINGO!!! Says it all... better to have loved and lost... whether real or imagined... and better to play than abstain. None can judge the experiences real or perceived of another, it's true. How can we when we are so ill-acquainted with the beatings of our own heart, after all??!! :)) And how can we know "reality" unless it is somehow different from the counterfeit? It's all in the experience, rather than the theory, after all.... Great write, Pops! :)) LOL Kate xx

Yin and Yang! I chose to love and lose - those words pack such a powerful punch. Everything has its risk - this wonderful construct clearly demonstrates life and love require that essential element in order for anyone to really live. Fabulous words I truly enjoyed reading on my return. Love Panda :)

Dear Felix,

We have come a long way when we realize that Love is not always perfect yet Love is always what we choose to make of it. Bless you for being a "player" as you can never win if you don't play.

Love & Light,
Joseph

Unless you are a player...you can't win the powerball !
And we must play the game, the way we see fit..

Indeed dear friend..what do I know of love..you have awoken me to my own truth; that of knowing NOTHING! ( at least where love is concerned) Thankyou for this profound piece I shall save it so as not to forget the lesson within it.

I love the immediacy of your poems! Great write!

You go Fee!! Play the game to win...but play the game. If we don't particapate completely in life then what do we do with our passions? I never will worry about you, my handsome pirate...you have love in your sights.
Love and peace!
