It seems each generation thinks theres was harder then the preceding one...

What? What’s that? Speak up I can’t hear ya!

“Oh yes in my day things were different…

You kids got it made today why in my day we’d have to get up milk the cow, plow the fields then walk ten miles to a one room school house with a pot bellied stove

No fancy lectricity then we’d have to cut, split, and haul the wood in if we wanted to stay warm at night and have breakfast in the morning

No fancy breakfast either oatmeal thick as cement it was and slabs of bread and molassess

Our only entertainment was listening to the static of radio with the odd burst of words thrown in to tease us…

Yea things were different then

“What? What’s that? Speak up I can’t hear ya!”

“Oh yes in my day things were different…

You young kids today don’t know the half of it, I’d break me back picking berries at 10cents a quart to go to the movies on Saturday

Good movies too, westerns and scary movies and romance not like the filth and naked bodies parading around in front of everyone..

Only time you’d see a naked women in my day was on your wedding night if you was real lucky..

You kids got it made today…

“What? What’s that? Speak up I can’t hear ya!”

Oh yes in my day things were different…

In my day we had to ask our parents for an allowance and sometimes they even made us do chores like make our bed or do dishes or take out the garbage

Garbage why you had to get a bus to get to the nearest mall to go shopping

We never had no fancy computers, no ipods, or no DVDs just good old VCR’s to watch our movies on once we snuck in at twelve or one or two in the morning

We could only get designer clothes once a week or so when our mother’s fell for the sad line “Everyone else has them.”

What? What’s that? Speak up I can’t hear ya!

Oh yes in my day things were different…

Oh which python sketch Panda, Im a python nut too LOL,

Ok, Fee, well son in my day, it was up at 3...hehe, milk em cows, feed out in dry season, hose down the shed, neat fun, then brekky, School on weekdays, then milk em cows again in the afternoon, help out with tea, watch a little TV, then fall into bed! Yes those were the days, hard work slog and.....A bad back now!! LOL
I annoy my kids by telling em all this rot, and rattling off in Welsh lingo, reading beatrix potter books, with accent supplied, so they laugh their brains out at their crazy mum! But then again we had the school dances, barn nights, with hay etc LOLOLOL, do you believe me?
One kewl clever write Fee, excellent!!

My kids took the bus, they did not get designer clothes, and they all had chores...and they all knew how to say please and thank you. And their kids are being taught the same thing! YAY! Great look at changing times.

Excellent!! Bravo!! On the money$$$!!!

My kids would complain that they didn't want to ride the bus to school because other Moms picked them up so they got home earlier and could do things quicker. Nope! That didn't work either! I absolutely love this one Fee!
