Kate is one of a kind and I wish that there were more like her. She is an inspiration in life and as a writer. Her strength through adversity has awed me and her positive outlook and her nurturing, through her words of encouragement, never fail to, not only bring a smile to my face but to make think, as well. Thank you for posting this wonderful tribute to our own in-house Motivation Chairperson, Kate Burnside...she is one hell of a woman!!

Goood Lawd!! F E L I X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly leapt out of me seat when I saw that pic... and then... well... whether to laugh or to cry, Honey... You totally OVERWHELM ME!! What on earth can I say... I am dumbstruck... dumb anyways!! :)) Darlin, you is such an old Sweetie yourself and I have always known of your golden heart and overarching support and concern - for ALL your friends here on the Den. Your words of appreciation certainly got this wobbly old ticker fibrulatin and my mind struggles to take them in... but THANK YOU!!! And also to all of you whose comments just MELT me to my core. I am sorrounded by loving friends and family in "real life", but this is something else, this Den community and fraternity... I don't know what it is, but I have never actually FELT so loved as here... or, in truth, known to be the person what I actually am, from me heart... warts n' all. Without wishin to sound "bleurgh", if I can sow any sort of sense of well-being into another's work or life, then that is more than happiness to me. Writing is fun and my energy, but helping people grow is more than ever what I love to do. Guess it's cos I have such a long way to go meself... LOVE that line "late-bloomer"... too damn right... I'm still waiting to come into my own! :)) And this is so timely.. you must be psychic. Tomorrow is my 29th wedding anniversary and a more special love-gift I could not possibly wish for.
