Next to Last Thoughts

She could have touched the skyline

Reaching for the stars above

Instead she touched my heart one time

With the mystery called love

Her smile the envy of the angels

Gave rays of light to darkened way

Mark Anthony had his Cleopatra

I had my love forever and a day

For delight she offered passion

Sated desire she always offered me

Yet when passion waned with years

Her love grew stronger do you see

As my years play out the final act

My body cheating me of time

I get through this world day by day

Clinging to her memory all mine.

What a lovely tribute to your love -- what more could one ask? Again, lovely, and I truly enjoyed.

Now this is a SPECIAL love... one that transcends time and place... and even flesh!! She must be your Angel for certain sure. Delightful - especially in the knowledge that, if she IS your supernatural soulmate, your knowledge and intimacy will increase as the material "thins" and wears away around you with the steady march of time. She can thus only ever grow more real to you. Beautiful and eternal poetry here, Pops. Bless you, Kate xx

Thank God for memories, it's good to get out now and then and live huh...Fee...Great poem, I love your train movements, you know. The thoughts and step by step approach, I couldn't even get in your head to try and write the words you used! -Smiling- It's all YOURS! Just like your memory that sustained you enough, to feel and write this beauty once again. Love and HuGs! *She*oxo

Indeed YOU are very fortunate
to have known such deep love
one that propelled you into galaxies far

The love we remember is always a thought away and it keeps the hope warming and the faith intense. I know this love....I wish to taste it one day.

Time changes everything and if we get the luck of the draw, it changes for the better. You seem to have been blessed with such a relationship, Felix, you are a very lucky man.
Take care,
Sherry

Felix

Such an enduring and empathetic love like this, comes only once in a lifetime..

You have a anchor of hope and bastion of contentment, which comes to few mere mortals....

Hold on to that unforgettable memory for grim death !

Peter
