Fiction only.

A golden ring sits on the stand

The stand beside their bed

A picture is on the dresser

Captured words they once said

A closet door still partly open

Echoes the lonely emptiness inside

Damp tissues in the wastebasket

Just captured tears once cried

Pillow still fluffed, un-dented

Forlorn in morning light

Lingering smell of perfume

Memories of that final fight!

This can really wake someone up in a hurry. Those final words, final looks, and the the tears. It is so sad when two people who fellin love, have to fall out of it.

I could feel the emotion in this piece Felix, I could "see" the empty closet through the door half open. I "saw" the ring on the dresser and "smelled" the odor of drifitng perfume. I "saw" the pillow that had not been slept on, and the tissues in the wastebasket.

This is a great piece Felix, because the imagery, teh plot, and the emotion are all true to life. And, true IN life too. Thank you for sharing this.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you lvoe, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peae on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFULSISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

How sad. That two grown ups cannot iron out their differences through dialogue. But the real reason is loss of love. And once lost, this picture leaps up. Great poem. Victor

life is cruel when we are selfish, or jealous or hysr don't make the grade in another's eyes. It's worse when there is no conditioning. This is sad all the way down to the abyss where we collect those hurting memories.
love and peace,
