Sometimes people just run out of reasons...

Poem Artwork

A cold wind blows o’er the moor

Like a banshee’s dying wail

The fog shrouds the naked trees

Like some spectral wedding veil

He shivers from the chill of sins

Better left in hell to rot alone

Teardrops linger as an afterthought

Like nothing human known

The golden band upon his hand

Weighs too heavy now for his heart

It gives way just like yesterdays

From his trembling hand depart

The ripple echoes cross the lake

Like a silent thunder roar

He doesn’t hear the gun’s reply

His spirit silenced evermore!

This is a very painful read. I know the anguish people feel when they reach this point. Sometimes we just reach those who need help. This was a pain filled poem, yes, but also very powerful. ~ Sara

We poets who live near water always have the tales of the blind side of hearts. I suppose it is a compliment to see all sides of longing and to be able to paint the pains such as they are. My dear Fee...you are so very special.

TRAGIC!!! You had me gripped, Felix, and my heart almost responded like a disturbed flock of geese at the shock of the gun... Especially as I initially thought the picture was of me in my new environment, which made me personalise as I read this. Very well done... you are always able to get inside the most disturbed head... and yes, that's sposed to be a compliment! :)) LOL K xx

The road to suicide is terrible, only the person himself or herself knows. Pity suicide does not solve much, but who can judge these people? Great poem, handled with finesse. Victor
