Fictional work only.

Face like well worn leather

Shoulders sagged with worldly weight

Hands work scarred and calloused

Eyes that sharply penetrate

He stood there like a statue

Carved on Rushmore stone

Heart waiting for the outcome

Too long a life feeling alone

Her beauty glowed in nature

Eyes twinkled in the evening light

Hair of finest silk in black

Skin of velvet, soft as night

She had waited for this moment

Now surreal, a dream come true

Smiled a smile to melt his heart

They reached out one to two

Many years had come between them

Now melted like spring snow

Arms embraced and kissed her tender

Shared all things that they know

Fate separated them from each other

Now she’d found her way back home

To this man who loved her so dearly

She no longer felt the need to roam

Forgiveness opens many doors. This reminds me of the story of the prodigal son.

I don't think I can say anything else other than what everyone has said Fee. But if I were to described this in a word, it would be PRECIOUS. Thank you for sharing dear brother because your poems like this never fail to make me smile. :P

I am truly digging this piece, Fe. It's right on with the romance and the passion. Very nice work!

Fee,

Beautifully penned, and I'm glad it's fictional. Could have fooled me! You detail the emotions perfectly in verse; well done!

Fee

I concur with the consensus of opinion below completely..

This is sensually sensitive and delicate, with just the right amount of emotion and sentiment..

Most excellent offering

BEAUTIFUL! The snowy tenderness of the "she" as contrasted to the luxuriant warm/worn leathery feel of the "he". Delicate coming together yet so powerfully expressed. This is sensually sensitive and oozes emotional intelligence, Felix. And your recent reviews of my work have floored me - I am deeply grateful for your obvious deep appreciation which elicit such beautiful artistic responses: tender with a capital S-W-E-E-T!! TY and bless you, Kate xx
