Love Should Be Spelled Disappointment

Through the fog two hearts collide

In wonderment and hope

Champagne bubbles over candlelight

Sweet smell of scented soap

Laughter over little things

Tears when hearts are bared

Learning trust craving forever

Day by day two souls are shared

A fairytale romance is written

Punctuated with kisses sweet

Ecstasy in the dark of night

Each day a paragraph complete

Lulled to sleep the story tends

To promise true enjoyment

Till a page is torn and without warning

Love is suddenly spelled disappointment

Happens often. We also tend to expect a lot from the ones we love...

I love these words. They are perfect and say it all. Love has a strange way of making us cry with tears of happiness and cry when we get hurt. Another well penned poem, Fee.

Yes there is such a thing as a broken heart and it is a big disappointment but there is someone for everyone in this world, we just don't take the time to wait for them. We are too busy following our emotions, Love your Cuz, Rose XOXO

This is a smooth sailing romance like the different winds under her sail.
Love doesb't keep an agenda
whether it's perfect or not
suspicious or hot...
it's a mystery
Like all mortal history. Your poem of experience allows us to think about our romances. This is a terricic poem Fee and Marcia is a wise woman beyond earth boundaries.

Yes, many times love's feeling is disappointing saved only by searching for the lessons I have learned from it. I had to learn early that others can not love as I do. I learned to accept them for that then not expect more then they could give. I was told to lower my own expectations. With those words of wisdon I decided to never lowered my own capacity. Lady J

Felix,
I'm so used to your romantic writes being always sweet to the very end.
Throughout my lifetime I've had a few encounters with love that I thought it should have been spelled hell, but disappointment would have worked too!
Lots of ceativity in this one.
