Fallen Jester

Today is one of those days again that my health seems to be out to get me, my blood sugers are through the roof, it is so cold I ran all the way to my truck on the way home from hospital, which proceeded to bring on chest pain and between the two of them I feel so fatigued that now I am just going to go have a nap, anyway please forgive my whining...but it does seem sometimes it is a battle to the end with a beast I cannot see...only feel the results.

Fallen Jester To The Beast

The beast has struck and with his strike he has laid low

The beast rejoices in the damage inflicted

The beast smiles but I sigh in dispair for what I know

Tired, weary carrying the pain of this last fight I rest

Broken but I think not beaten I will lick my wounds

Tomorrow I may rise again to do battle in this test

Sleep, take me and revive me in the comfort of arms that fold

Offering me the sanctuary of your bosom as a mother to son

My spirit wanes craving rest and shelter from the cold

Fading, fading, I race

Alone I fade to ebon

Of sleeps sweet embrace

I too, often find sleep a sweet refuge; it not from physical pain, then from the emotional stress. I do hope you fell better, Fee. Love, peace, and strength to you,

Hey, dear poet man, you take care of yourself and feel better. Lots of rest. Beat that beast down where he can't harm you.
Love and a hug,

OH yes...I know that feeling Fee. A little rest and relaxation (which is so hard to do) is generally what we need to revitalize. I hope you are feeling better.

Dear Fee:

Sleep, take me and revive me in the comfort of arms that fold.

Fighting beasts and life itself requires rest and I hope the resignation wanes after you awaken.

My heart goes out to you -- you are not whining.

love,
Kathy

The physical fights to be the top of form and yet it is the age of the physical that tires one...yet the health of the soul and the strive of mind that keeps one fighting these battles of life.....nicely expressed view of this thought through poetry...

Oh sweet Fee! Thanks to resilliency you are alive. You are a robust man with a high caliber for living. Diabetes can defeat you if you let it but I can't see you allowing this to happen. Slow down and take a deep breath and think about your grands and just why you want to be healthy for them. You'll be happy you did. Me? I like having you around too!
Love,
Susan
