What We Do Not Accept…

Cannot Make Us Feel Guilty

By Felix L. Perry

Into the dark world of unseen might

We offer our souls up to the night

We do not kill if we refuse to see

Youth’s lost innocence it has to be

Upon his throne he calls the shot

Backbones somewhere we forgot

Just stand up straight salute the flag

For sons and daughters do not beg

Somewhere a teardrop hits a rose

As angels weep in sadness pose

Feel the magnitude of freedom’s lie

Over each grave they’re forced to cry

As we change our channel by remote

Each time the news hits a sour note

Read Home and Garden not the Times

Escape the burden of guilt for all war crimes…

THIS DESERVES A BLOODY MEDAL, FELIX. Words and picture are totally organically synthesized to produce the most powerful work here. One of your most accomplished best, I reckon. Bull's eye, for certain sure.... PS... I know how that little lady feels... xx

love Walt's comments...we must be intelligent by now to think of peaceful solutions...I know...what if we believed we were actually connected to everything and everyone and every moment...what I do to you...I do to myself and am accountable...not by guilt but by life experience...would I not then believe differently about sharing and good for the all, instead of a few? peace starts individually...thaks Fee

Excellent write dear cuz, on a sad note and yes we should always remember and pray for the men and women who fight in these wars and they should not feel guilty for what they are expected to do on the field, it is a matter of life or death. You make me proud dear cuz.
Love & hug to you

Today's soldiers are hearing "go! go! go! kill! kill! kill! and when you come back we will make you to feel guilty" they make the soldiers to accept, then...should they feel guilty?
I have read this poem with eyes of an enrage old soldier.
Perhaps if everybody start clamoring at once somebody may hear.
