This is not a reflection on me or my life just somthing my muse sent along form the darkside...

Poem Artwork

Faded Pages of History’s Past

There’s coffee in my well-used mug

Stained and chipped and old

Just like me it’s sat too long

And now the coffees gray and cold

There’s my in-box overflowing

Photos, mail and things I wrote

Little scraps of yesterday’s news

Things I no longer care about

There’s my keyboard and the monitor

My  friends who talk to me on line

This old desk so scarred and battered

An old friend who stood the test of time

Pictures framed of little children

Shelves of knick-knacks shared with books

Captured time capsule souvenirs

Surround me everywhere I look

And in the drawer that ancient 45

Daddy brought home from the war

It seems to call my name out

I just can’t take this pain any more!

i understand this loneliness. there is a commercial on tv; it asks: how much does depression hurt? i think you've answered that. to anyone who reads this and wishes for that release i say, take a walk in a park. talk to the trees. let the sun shine on your face. let air fill your lungs. sweat. breathe. take your mind on a break from worry.

and if that doesn't work, get therapy. ~ sara

"I never wanted to end my life. I only wanted my life 'AS IT WAS' to end" ~lady j talks I wrote that a long long time ago now, Fee and it has been left with many a person on this journey. The last great act of definance when there were so many other choices not seen before. Yet I learned hard that even my words make no difference. While the pages of life past fade and the joys of the present remain buried it's difficult to paint the brightness of the future. It's out there though. I do understand the muse. It's another part inside that most can never see except another of it's kind. Lady J

A bullet make a escape as any other way to run away from pain.
The thing is, should we don't run, confront whatever it is and punch it on the nose?
The poem describes like the bard once did, "to be or not to be" he choose.
Great poem!!!

BLIMEY!!!!! this is just sooooooooooo real... the descriptions take us happily into your day and your "cosy" homely life and events... THEN THE STUNNER AT THE END!!!! You certainly know how to crank up the emotions and then wrap them in whatever emotion your Muse dictates, darlin Pops. SHOCK is the order of the day here... and HORROR!!! This is soooooooooooo real, in fact, that it makes me think of those who are left devastated and stunned by suicide... helpless with the agonies of disbelief and unanswered questions. Brilliant writing... Have you ever thought of doing Thriller or Crime genres? You have such a natural and convincing voice. Kate xx

I have suffered pain but I learned a lesson. Never fight pain, go along with it, offer it for some just cause. Otherwise there's only despair. Great poem.

I like it when you just let the muse have its way and write what comes into your mind. Once in awhile my muse sends me on this trip also and what I write may not be intelligible.
