I’d give to you that silvery moon

Wrap it in blue sealed with a star

Liberally sprinkled with fairy dust

To glow softly on your armoire

I’d give to you taste of pure honey

Presented to you in a crystal vase

Sweet as your image in my eyes

 A smile that leaves me in a daze

I’d give to you the eagle’s flight

To keep your soul soaring always free

Though with this gift I’d also hope

You’d always find your way back to me

I’d give to you that first snowflake

With the innocence of a younger day
