Been really sick with some kind of bug the last few days and not sure if this is the fever or me writing but here it is...

Poem Artwork

Fevered Dreams

Between fevers and chills I toss and turn

Craving your arms to hold me tight

See your face and hear your voice

In the delirium of my dreams tonight

I race along the pathway deep and dark

On the edge of some vague uncertainty

Hoping you're out there with your lantern

Offering a guiding light for me to see

…and when I lay me down to sleep I’ll pray the lord my soul to keep and if I should die before I wake…my heart I hope that you will keep
