I took this picture at Lawrenctown Beach this morning around eight, during high winds and heavy rain...and the kus just came to me while I was driving home

Poem Artwork

Beachakues

No laughing spring breeze

No hint of hillside green shoots

Hibernate life roots

Wind and rain battered

Sullen brooding stretch of beach

Summer’s out of reach

Surf’s frosty cold broth

Under gray skies and salt spray

Depressed winter day

I dream only you

Standing with me on the shore

When sun smiles once more…

Wonderful write, Fee, and I love the picture! Well done!

(((HUGS)) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D

Cold and grey here in north central Texas, with windy conditions, and chance of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain. Not going anywhere; not safe for me to walk on ice with my crutches ... NOT a good idea! :)

I love the way you found beauty in a gray day...Lovely photo and kus to go along with it.
Beauty has it's moments and those moments are the ones to treasure.

Peace, love and light,

Nice work, Fee. The gray font adds the perfect touch for a gray-day poem that somehow lifts the spirits by its beauty.
You kept your eyes on the road as you dreamed, of course.

Summer's out of reach, but Spring is close enough to dream about.

Putting your new camera to good use, masterful photograph! It just amazes me how the ocean can draw out what lies deep within one's soul...

Be always safe,
Karen

Fee, Winter tends to make everyone feel blue. The sun will return bringing brighter days. I used to live on the beach in Oxnard, California and remember the dreary days very well. I am living in frigid temps now and can't even be outside without frostbite. I am sending rays of bright sun to take your gray away today! Love, and warmth! ~Chessly

Felix, a profound sense of loneliness and longing here my dear friend. Winter has a profound effect on my mood. I am easily depressed and long for the days of high sun and warm air. The beach in your photo appears to be anxiously awaiting favorable climate. In touch with gloom rather than joy. Your words paint the same picture as your photo. A sense of foreboding. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

You powers of inspiration and insight have certainly been kindled by even this greyness of day, dear Felix. Your words and picture are a perfect complement and I love that you end on more than a tinge of warmth to reinforce that, yes indeed, the creativity of love springs always and eternal. xx

Hey! Up until that lost verse I was sure you were writing about me! ;-) (Hope you are laughing) It is a beautiful poem - a sweet ray of sun to close out the cold.

What a difference a season makes. That beach looks really "cold" and uninviting. Hope that dream works out for you. Special Poem Fee, Like it.

Stark contrasts here, each season has it's own beauty.
So as the beauty you dream of.
